Disclosure: we make just another Time Tracker, one of the Power-Ups compared here. Prices come from each vendor's own page or Trello directory listing as of September 2026, and each one is linked. Dollars are converted at the European Central Bank rate for 14 September 2026 (1 EUR = 1.1551 USD). Where another tool fits a situation better than ours, we say so.
Trello has no time tracking of its own. An Atlassian staff member said so in a May 2025 community answer: "Trello itself doesn't have any native time-tracking features". If you are still deciding whether you need an add-on, our guide to logging hours in Trello covers the workarounds. This post compares the add-ons.
Four ways time tracking gets into Trello
The main difference between these tools is where the timer runs and where the reports live. That decides who needs a second account and a paid seat.
- Native Power-Ups. The timer sits on the card, a badge shows the time on the board, and reports open inside Trello. Everhour's Power-Up, Limita, Chronos, Kolekti and ours work this way.
- Power-Ups that bridge to another app. The timer button is on the card, but entries and full reports live in a separate tracker, so everyone who tracks needs an account there. Harvest, TimeCamp and TrackingTime work this way.
- Browser extensions. An extension adds a timer button to Trello cards in your browser. Clockify, Toggl (legacy) and the full Everhour app use this route. Everhour says the app's controls don't show in Trello's desktop and mobile apps.
- Desktop apps. Hubstaff syncs Trello cards into its desktop app as tasks and can write the time back to the card as comments.
At a glance: 13 time trackers compared (September 2026)

What a team of 3, 10 or 25 pays per month
Native Power-Ups mostly charge per workspace, Kolekti charges per board, and standalone trackers and Chronos charge per person. The table assumes everyone tracks time on the cheapest plan that has billable rates. Each cell shows the price billed monthly, then the monthly equivalent billed yearly, converted to euros and rounded, with minimum seats applied.
| Tool (plan) | Model | 3 people | 10 people | 25 people |

| TimeCamp Ultimate (billing rates) | Per user | €36 / €26 | €121 / €86 | €303 / €216 |
* Chronos sells 3, 6 or 12-month licences, paid manually each time. The first figure is the 3-month licence, the second the 12-month licence with its 20% discount.
The three flat Power-Ups cost the same at every team size: €5 a month for ours, about €8.66 for Everhour's and Limita's. A 10-person team pays roughly €35 to €121 a month with the per-seat trackers, and €5 to €9 with a flat Power-Up. The other models only come out cheaper for a small team that doesn't bill (Clockify Free and TimeCamp Free cost nothing).
Native Power-Ups: reports inside Trello
Time Tracking Power-Up by Everhour
This is a separate product from the Everhour app, and it works without an Everhour account. It also has a dashboard, saved report views, a weekly timesheet, a board summary of time against estimate, and an interface in five languages. Board admins can add and edit time for other members. Observers can track their own time but don't get reports, and a cross-board report only allows edits on the board you opened it from.
The $10 monthly price is charged in US dollars. A yearly plan exists "at a significantly discounted rate", but the amount isn't published. After the 14-day trial, which needs no card, you can view past data but can't track new time. The free plan was discontinued in 2025.
Pick it if: you want the most widely used flat-price Power-Up (25,000+ boards), a non-English interface, or admins who log time for teammates.
Limita
Limita is made by the developer of Activity Timer, whose listing now points users to Limita. Its listing adds a few things the table doesn't show: one timer per member, estimates that each person sets with alerts at 80, 90, 100 and 120 percent, and custom fields on time entries. At $96 a year (about €83) it costs more than our €50 a year, and Everhour doesn't publish a yearly price. Its FAQ says tracking stops when the trial ends, and the history "becomes available again the moment you subscribe".
Pick it if: you want estimate alerts or custom fields on entries.
Chronos
Chronos (listed as Time Tracker & Timesheets) is the most billing-focused native option. Its listing describes hourly rates per member with effective dates, clients, an invoice PDF and scheduled exports, with rates and totals visible only to workspace admins. You buy seats only for the people who track. The Free plan is one seat for the workspace admin, and an expired licence leaves members 30 days of read-only access.
From 8 April 2026 Chronos stopped loading for all users. People in a community thread and a GitHub issue said they couldn't reach the developer, and one user reported it working again on 11 April.
Pick it if: you want invoices produced inside Trello or rates that differ per person.
Time Tracking & Reporting by Kolekti
Kolekti's listing describes manual work logs: you pick a date and a team member, add a description and enter the hours. Reports group by card or member. The listing doesn't mention a running timer, estimates or rates, and asks teams with 5 or more boards to get in touch for pricing.
Pick it if: you work on one or two boards and people enter their hours at the end of the day.
just another Time Tracker (ours)
Our Power-Up is listed in the Trello directory as "just another Time Tracker", and on this site we call it Time Tracking for Trello. It costs €5 a month or €50 a year per workspace. The 5-day trial starts at the first tracked minute and needs no card. A few details the comparison table below doesn't show:
- CSV exports let you choose the separator and include a BOM for European Excel. XLSX exports are capped at 25,000 rows.
- Each client has one hourly rate, and every entry keeps the rate it was logged at.
- Only board admins see rates, amounts, budgets and clients. The server enforces this, exports included. All board members, observers too, see everyone's time entries on that board.
- After the trial only new time is blocked. Reports, exports, editing, estimates, clients and budgets keep working.
- Entries aren't rounded, and a forgotten timer stops after 4, 8, 12 or 24 hours. Entries are stored in our database, so Trello's 4,096-character Power-Up storage limit doesn't apply.
The trade-offs: we are new (the directory shows fewer than 100 boards using it), and the interface is English only. It doesn't create invoices, and rates are set per client rather than per person. Admins can correct anyone's entries on boards they administer but can't add an entry for someone else. It has no desktop or mobile app, doesn't detect idle time, and we haven't tested it in Trello's desktop or mobile apps. When a card moves to another board, the card keeps its full history, but badges, reports and exports on the new board only count time logged after the move.
Pick it if: you bill clients by the hour in euros, want money hidden from non-admins, or want XLSX exports.

Power-Ups that need an account in another app
Harvest
The Harvest Power-Up needs a Harvest account. You start a timer from the card and can attach a time report to it, while invoicing and full reports stay in Harvest. Harvest Teams has a 30-day trial, and its pricing page notes that "the usage of some features may require the payment of fees". It suits teams that already invoice from Harvest.
TimeCamp
TimeCamp's Power-Up works on its Free plan, which has unlimited users. Billable time and estimates need Premium, and billing rates need Ultimate. It suits a team that wants a free plan now and billing later.
TrackingTime
TrackingTime's Free plan has unlimited users and PDF export. Pro adds billing rates, invoicing and timesheet approvals.
Planyway
Planyway is a calendar and timeline Power-Up used on 250,000+ boards. Time tracking comes with its paid Individual and Team plans, priced per upgraded user. The amounts only load in the browser, so we haven't listed them. It suits teams that mainly want a calendar or timeline, with time tracking on the side.
Browser extensions and desktop apps
Clockify
Clockify's official Trello integration is its browser extension, which adds a timer button to every card once you are signed in. The Free plan covers up to 5 users but exports PDF only, limits reports to a one-month range and has no billable rates. Rates come with Basic, invoicing and approvals with Standard, and budgets with Pro. The "Clockify Integration for Trello" Power-Up is by an independent developer and costs €2.50 to €17 a month on top of Clockify. Clockify suits teams that already track time outside Trello, or up to 5 people who don't bill.
Toggl
Toggl's Trello page now calls it "a legacy integration for Toggl Track which we currently don't support for Toggl." Its blog post on the setup was last updated on 21 June 2024. We cover all three brands in Toggl, Clockify or Everhour in Trello.
Everhour (the full app)
The full Everhour app is free for up to 5 seats, but integrations need the Team plan, which has a 5-seat minimum. Its Trello integration is a browser extension. Each teammate has to be invited to Everhour, and only people with the extension see time data on cards. It suits teams that track time across several tools and invoice from one place.
Hubstaff
Hubstaff syncs Trello cards as tasks into its desktop app and can write time back as comments. New boards have to be linked by hand in Hubstaff. Its Grow plan includes one integration and project budgets. It suits teams that want a desktop tracker with productivity monitoring.
Free options and their catches
One person in a 2018 community thread described a common constraint: "Free or inexpensive is a must for me at this stage." These are the free routes in September 2026:
- Clockify Free: up to 5 users, PDF export, one-month reports and no billable rates.
- TimeCamp Free and TrackingTime Free: unlimited users, with billing features on paid plans.
- Chronos Free: one seat, for the workspace admin.
- FairHour and T&M: free Power-Ups that keep entries in Trello's own storage, which is capped at 4,096 characters per scope and visibility pair for card data. The developer of Time Spent, which uses the same storage, said in April 2026 that this meant roughly 20 to 25 entries per card, raised to about 40 to 50 in version 1.3.0.
- Activity Timer: still works, but its listing says it is in maintenance mode and gets bug fixes only.
Trello's own building blocks cost money too. Custom Fields need the Standard plan and CSV board export needs Premium, at $5 and $10 per user per month billed yearly. If estimates are all you need, see our estimates guide.
Names you'll see in older lists
Many pages that rank for "Trello time tracking" are out of date:
- Toggl's Trello button is a legacy integration.
- Everhour's free Power-Up plan ended in 2025, though some customer quotes on its pricing page still call it free.
- Blue Cat Reports' roundup, last updated 3 July 2023, lists Chronos as free and Harvest at $12 per user.
- Timesheet for Trello couldn't be found in the directory by a user in a March 2024 thread who needed the logged hours to handle pay. It is listed again, with 1,000+ boards.
- Plus for Trello, the accepted answer in a 2019 thread about estimates, is a browser extension rather than a Power-Up.
How to choose, by situation
- Hourly client billing with one price for the team: a flat Power-Up. Choose ours for euro billing, XLSX and admin-only money, Everhour's for other languages and admins logging time for others, or Limita for estimates per person.
- You need invoices: Chronos, Harvest, Clockify Standard or the Everhour app. With ours you export the hours and bill elsewhere, as our timesheets and billable hours guide shows.
- Rates differ per person: Chronos or Clockify.
- Desktop or mobile apps, or idle detection: Clockify, TimeCamp or Hubstaff.
- Time tracked outside Trello too: Clockify, TimeCamp, Harvest or the Everhour app.
- Timesheet approvals: TrackingTime Pro or Clockify Standard.
- A small team that doesn't bill and has no budget: Clockify Free or TimeCamp Free.
- One board, hours entered by hand: Kolekti.
If you group cross-board reports by label, the labels need the same names on every board. Syncing labels across boards fixes any drift before you run the report.
A timer on every Trello card
Time Tracking for Trello puts a start/stop timer on the card and a live badge on the board, with estimates, client rates and reports across boards.

Frequently asked questions
Which time tracking Power-Ups for Trello charge per workspace instead of per user?
As of September 2026, three do: Everhour's Time Tracking Power-Up at $10 a month, Limita at $10 a month or $96 a year, and our just another Time Tracker at €5 a month or €50 a year. Each covers every board and member in one Trello workspace. Kolekti's Time Tracking & Reporting charges per board, and Chronos charges per member.
Can one Power-Up cover my whole team instead of being set up per board?
In Trello you still add a Power-Up to each board, but the price and the reports don't have to follow boards. The per-workspace Power-Ups charge once for every board, and their reports can combine time from several boards. With per-board pricing, such as Kolekti's, each new board adds to the bill.
What happens to my logged hours if a Power-Up stops working or disappears?
It depends on where the entries are stored and what the vendor allows after a plan ends. Power-Ups that use Trello's own storage keep the data on your cards, and the others keep it on their own servers. Either way, export your hours every month, especially if you pay people from them. Timesheet for Trello went missing from the directory for a while in 2024, and Chronos stopped loading for about three days in April 2026. In just another Time Tracker, reports and exports keep working after the trial.
Is there a good free time tracker for Trello?
For a small team that doesn't bill clients, Clockify Free (up to 5 users, PDF export, one-month reports) and TimeCamp Free (unlimited users) are the most complete options. Free Power-Ups that keep entries in Trello's own storage, such as FairHour and T&M, share its limit of 4,096 characters of card data per scope and visibility pair. Everhour's free Power-Up plan ended in 2025.
Why can't one teammate see the time tracker when others on the board can?
With extension-based tools such as Clockify or the full Everhour app, each person needs the browser extension installed and must be signed in to it, and Everhour's controls don't appear in Trello's desktop and mobile apps. With Everhour's Power-Up, board observers can track their own time but don't get reports. If neither explains it, contact the Power-Up's support team.
